Adrienne's has a huge article about something I found over at MichaelSavage.com : http://adriennescatholiccorner.blogspot.com/2012/03/chris-rock-bff-of-barack-hussein-obama.html Go ahead and look at it I'll wait...
It's not so much that Chris Rock has foul language in his act, or so much foul language that surprised me. It was the timing in which the video was removed, as Michael Savage was discussing said video. It had been "up" or available for a while. The person 'capturing' CRs act was probably friendly to him, enjoyed the acct. It was only taken down the other day. Now, I suppose CR 's legal team was working on 'bootleg' copies of the CRentertainment intellectual property. But, somehow, I think on some level the WH or others didn't like how the Birthday was described or discussed and wanted to self-censor.
I really could care less about Chris Rock's 'act' freedom of speech is his to use and if people want to pay to listen. Years ago I really thought he was funny, and after reading the above Birthday Party descripiton I think he's become not so funny. I'd be insulted if I was reduced to a 'silhouette'.
My husband and I used to go see big name Comediennes, older established names like Bob Newhardt, Cosby*, Cedric the Entertainer at the big venues and those guys getting started down at the comedy club. Nobody's stooped to such levels of 'profanity'. F bombs being used as verbs and nouns all over the place.
I remmember seeing that Lisa Lampenelli was the 'entertainment' listed a couple of years ago at a woman's conference. Watching her on Celebrity Apprentice this season she seems to be a lovely person. Smart, hardworking etc. But I once attempted to watch her on Comedy Central and I was driven to change the channel. Seriously. I could not stand her act. It was insulting, and not in a funny way. But, people want to listen to her act. I bet she could be funny.
Months ago before I read the above Rock 'set' I've tried to tell me pre-teen that 'swearing' is a symptom of a lazy vocabulary. We have hundreds of thousands of words in English, and yet people under stress might only use the four letter words. There is less reason to use them to 'impress' peers, which seems to be the case most of the time they're used in Middle School.
I am really surprised that the Food Blog re-printed his 'act' even with the 'censored' words. The rest of the blog seems quite tame and flattering towards the White House.
It's just really odd.

*If I could only see one comedian for the rest of my life, it would be Cosby. But since I am not limited, I think my next comedian on my list of must see is Elyne Boosler. She actually didn't have
